We're proud of what Game Design Craft can do for a serious learner, and honest about what it can't. This page draws that line clearly.

This is an education program

Artiframe teaches game design. Everything on this site — the curriculum, the field notes, the examples — is learning material and general guidance, not professional, legal, financial or career advice tailored to your situation. Treat it as a course, because that's what it is.

No promise of a job

We help you build a strong portfolio and the judgement to defend it, and we're candid about how hiring works. We do not, and cannot, guarantee you a job, an interview, a salary or entry into any studio. Those outcomes depend on your work, your effort and a market outside our control. Anyone promising you a guaranteed role in games is selling you something we won't.

Not a game about chance or money

Artiframe teaches the craft of designing video games — systems, levels, feel and playtesting. Nothing here involves games of chance, staking money on an outcome, or paying to win a cash prize. We don't run or teach anything of that kind, and the course has no connection to it.

Results vary

Student work and any progress we describe are examples, not a forecast of what you'll achieve. Two people can take the same ten weeks and get very different results. What you put in shapes what you get out.

Prices and details can change

Fees, dates, mentors and the exact shape of the syllabus are current at the time of writing and may change. All prices are in US dollars. The version confirmed to you by email when you enrol is the one that applies to your cohort.

Accuracy

We keep this site as accurate as we reasonably can, but we can't promise it's free of every error or always fully up to date. If you spot something wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it.
